Guidelines for Reporting on Violence Against Women
Guidelines for Reporting on Violence Against Women
[ in ]
The Guidelines for Reporting on Violence Against Women are aimed at improving media coverage of the issue. The guidelines have been prepared the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. They cover topics such as identifying violence against women, using accurate and over-judgmental languages and describing people who suffer in such an ordeal not as victims unless they use the word themselves.
