have risen above

(not your usual bling-bling
I did not struggle to still
be poor and down below
in the food chain of life)

a bunch of lazy people
difficult working conditions
out here in the colony
just up your street

a bunch of lazy people
campaigning for school libraries
surely inspiring others
in all the Gugulethus
of our separatist mentalities

a bunch of lazy people
out at Vuyani Primary
combating apartheids legacy
of illiteracy and innumeracy

a bunch of lazy people
we can certainly do with
