R2K Demands Answers Over Spy Inspector Post

The R2K Campaign has given Parliament until Friday, 30 October 2015, to say why a new spy boss has not been appointed

The Right2Know (R2K) Campaign has given Parliament until Friday, 30 October 2015, to say why a new spy boss has not been appointed.

In a letter to National Assembly speaker Baleka Mbete, the Legal Resources Centre, acting for R2K, says the post of inspector-general of intelligence had been vacant for seven months.

It has no acting head and this was a violation of the constitution as the inspector's duty was to oversee the country's spooks.
