USAID’s Resilient Waters Program
 
USAID’s Resilient Waters is a five -year program (June 2018- June 2023), implemented by Chemonics International – in collaboration with a consortium of partners. The Resilient Waters Program is seeking full grant applications from eligible entities for implementation of activities designed to address a multi-faceted program whose goal is to build more resilient communities and eco-systems through improved management of trans-boundary natural resources and increased access to safe drinking water and sanitation services.
 
There are three (3) Request for Applications (RFAs), each addressing a specific component of the Program. Please see descriptions below and the associated links for specific details of each RFA.
 
RFA 1 - Community Governance Training - Rural Water Supply and Sanitation (CRWSS) Infrastructure.

The objective of this activity is to support community governance training for Community Rural Water Supply and Sanitation (CRWSS) infrastructure projects (infrastructure for private use is not considered) for a total of 175 000 people. The projects must be ongoing or planned and must already be installing new or upgrading/rehabilitating existing infrastructure with expected infrastructure commissioning dates of June 2022.

RFA 2 - Angola: Honey Production Improvement and Beneficiation Project

The objective of this grant activity is to ensure delivery training on beehive management and establishment of two (2) beehives per household in Luengue-Luiana and Mavinga National Parks (LLNP) and link the local villages to a reputable honey buyer and distributor. This work will be done in collaboration with other existing donor funded honey program(s).

RFA 3 - Inclusive non-Timber Forest Products Beneficiation Project

The objective of this grant activity is for the grantee to assist in improving the sustainable harvesting of Mopane Worms in the Matabeleland South area of Zimbabwe. Through engaging and supporting at least 3000 households in the Matabeleland South region for sustainable harvesting practices of Mopane Worms, marketing and selling of Mopane worms, and sustainable forest management practices. The grantee will work in partnership with and receive support from the Forestry Commission of Zimbabwe to engage and support at least 3000 households in the Matabeleland South region.
