World Vision South Africa at this Year’s Good Food and Wine Shows

Children’s rights advocacy and culinary festivities aren’t necessarily two activities that go together; however in the case of the Good Food & Wine Show and World Vision South Africa it has become a natural fit.

World Vision will for the second year form part of the Good Food & Wine Show’s events in Cape Town, Gauteng and Durban in an effort to create much needed awareness of its work amongst the country’s children.

As last year, World Vision can be visited at its beautifully designed stand - generously sponsored by Flash Display Solutions - which will provide the perfect platform to reach out the show’s discerning visitors in a relaxed and festive setting. The first Good Food & Wine Show 2015 will take place in Cape Town from 21-24 May with Gauteng and Durban held respectively between 23-26 July and 30 October -1 November 2015.

Comments Paula Barnard, national director of World Vision South Africa:  “The Good Food & Wine is such an important part of the South African events calendar and to form part of its yearly activities provides us with an impactful and targeted platform to reach out to its socially conscious visitors.

“We believe it offers the ideal environment to drive goodwill, influence dialogue and to receive valuable feedback on World Vision as a brand as well as our work throughout the country and across the globe.”

Says Jason Rade, operations manager at Fiera Milano Exhibitions Africa: “Our philosophy at Fiera Milano Exhibitions Africa is to give back to our communities.  The Good Food & Wine Show is a great platform to create awareness and afford the space and exposure for organisations like World Vision.  We are very happy to have World Vision at this year’s Good Food & Wine Show in Cape Town from 21-24 May 2015.

Visitors to the Good Food & Wine Show will be able to donate at the World Vision stand or obtain the necessary information to sponsor a child.  The stand at the Cape Town event will be located at the C12 exhibition space.  The organisation is the only child advocacy group with the Peninsula School Feeding Association, Street Smart and the Food Bank also exhibiting at the events.
