University for a Night in Africa - Innovative Leadership for Africa

Wednesday, September 14, 2011 - 09:45

Now in its third year, the University for a Night in Africa offers leaders from business, government, civil society and philanthropy a unique opportunity for networking and discussion. This year, we will honour Dr. Mamphela Ramphele with the David Rockefeller Bridging Leadership in Africa Award.

The University for a Night is about exchanging ideas and building connections. Following a reception, University for a Night opens with presentation of the David Rockefeller Bridging Leadership in Africa Award and a discussion among the recipients about their perspectives on creating a more just and prosperous Africa.

The core of the evening are discussions over dinner around issues of critical importance in Africa, such as health, education, economic growth, agriculture, culturally and environmentally sustainable development, peace, and good governance.

These discussions will provide opportunities for participants to connect with other leaders with similar interests, and to share their own work, ideas, and experiences.
