Columba Leadership’s aim is to activate the potential of young people to enhance their own life outcomes as well as contribute to positive social change in their schools and communities by offering a values-based leadership academy at schools situated in disadvantaged communities around South Africa.

Columba Leadership seeks to appoint innovative and committed staff to the following 5 positions:

 

Regional Manager x2

Based in Gauteng and Western Cape the incumbent will drive, deliver and manage the expansion of the Columba Leadership Academy into a particular region. They will also be responsible for developing a Regional Expansion Plan with the Head of Programmes, pro-actively seek and manage relationships with strategic partners, venues, investors and potential investors in that region. Other responsibilities will involve recruiting, capacitating and managing the local facilitation and school engagement resources and building a pipeline of academy applicant schools in the region. At least 3 years experience in general management including managing a team of people, experience in dealing with customers/suppliers. Driver's licence and own motor vehicle are essential.

 
Co-Faculty

Based in Mpumalanga the Co-Faculty will be responsible for the pre-residential engagement process including presentation and orientation for participants and parents as required. They will also be responsible for 2 academies per month including planning, co-facilitation and hosting corporate partners. Other tasks will include MES implementation, being the post-residential values Champion contact, facilitating Principal’s workshops and promoting the organisation as required. Candidates must have a diploma in Social Work / Youth Development and 3 years general work experience and experience in dealing with customers / suppliers. Experience in working with or in schools will be useful as well as experience working in Community development. Driver’s licence and own motor vehicle are essential.
 

Lead Faculty

Based in Gauteng, with at least 5 years of experience in youth facilitation and an academic background in youth work, psychology, social work or community development, candidates must display excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for youth work. Ability to lead a faculty team and assume overall responsibility for residential academies is essential.
 

Accounts Support

Based in Gauteng the Accounts Support will be responsible for organising all relevant account documentation, accurate filing of all the documentation, checking the books and compiling all necessary reconciliations. Other responsibilities include analysing the Academy Income and Expenditure account and compiling the Academy Schedule, checking this and ensuring that it balances and capturing the business plan into Pastel as a budget. The incumbent must have a minimum Matric qualification plus accounting training/diploma, with at least 3 years of general accounting experience preferably on Pastel.
