PSAM - Public Service Accountability Monitor (Rhodes University)
The Public Service Accountability Monitor (PSAM) is currently a self-funded institute within the School of Journalism and Media Studies of Rhodes University. The PSAM consists of three programmes: A Monitoring and Advocacy Programme (MAP), a Regional Learning Programme (RLP), and an Advocacy Impact Programme.
This position falls within the RLP and is responsible for the PSAM’s strategic goal relating to learning and capacity building at a regional level. The incumbent of this position is responsible for facilitating enhanced interaction between Mozambican civic actors, oversight bodies and media practitioners so as to improve social accountability and governance in that country and in a manner that results in the achievement of RLP objectives as set out in the PSAM’s strategic plan.
