Scope of Role: Reports to Regional Programmes Director

 Duration: 1 year Fixed Term Contract

Key areas of Accountability:

  • Programme development and Management;
  • Lead the process of fundraising to expand and sustain the programme by developing project proposals and submitting to donors;
  • To prepare and produce timely narrative and financial reports including risk assessments reports in accordance with donor requirements and Save the children International policies and guidelines;
  • To ensure proper coordination and facilitation of training, policy and advocacy activities within the project at regional and national level in liaison with project partners and Save the Children Country Offices;
  • To ensure implementation of communication strategy with respect to the project in liaison with partner organisation and Save the Children International
  • Staff Management;
  • Project Monitoring and Evaluation;
  • Project Finance Management including sub-grants;
  • To develop and manage together with SC Country offices and project partners, the project results, assessment framework , implementation plans and other monitoring tools;
  • Partner Management - Maintain oversight of partner relationship, ensure grants to partners are managed according to the agreed procedures and build capacity of partners in monitoring and evaluation;
  • Sharing Learning and Documentation.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Social Science , Public Health , or related field;
  • Knowledge of Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights. Preferably knowledge of Comprehensive Sexuality Education;
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in programme / project design, management and implementation within and across countries and region;
  • Demonstrable experience in project management , coaching and mentoring of staff;
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the use and design of appropriate systems for programme/project assessment, monitoring and evaluation;
  • Demonstrable experience in MS Office;
  • Experience in training and supporting policy and advocacy programme interventions across countries;
  • Valid driver’s licence and at least 3 years driving experience;
  • Knowledge of spoken and/or written French;
  • Experience in facilitating training and planning events.
