The ideal candidate should be able to design and implement advocacy campaigns and programmatic interventions to enhance the capacity of South African CSO's and networks to engage on issues of fiscal and tax justice. Actively identify, meet and maintain good relationships with donors. Provide thought Leadership in defining and implementing a robust fiscal justice campaign and advocacy strategy in South Africa.
The candidate should have excellent communication skills as the job entails a wide range of communication and presentation with both internal parties and external parties including national and international media, public events and government officials. Academic qualifications in development studies, economics, law or human rights. Proven analytical and conceptual thinking in the research field. Good knowledge of managing donor funded projects with experience in financial management, project budgeting and budget monitoring. Ability to travel and work extra hours as necessary.
