KMF seeks to appoint a Chef Executive Officer (CEO) based in Cape Town.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the KMF and its staff, expanding the Cape Town office as necessary;
- Design a three to five year strategic plan for the organisation, after consultation with all stakeholders, aiming to take the organisation to the next level;
- Raise funds for the KMF onshore and offshore;
- Devise an effective fundraising strategy, which will include building on the existing KMF donor base, source new opportunities, build an endowment fund, track KMF assets, developing a self-sustainability strategy, oversee funding proposals/applications, as well as present the KMF to potential donors, media, and any other KMF stakeholders;
- Maintain existing donor relationships and ensure organisation meets all contractual agreements, including monitoring and evaluation requirements;
- Secure strategic partnerships with civil society organisations where appropriate, to build on KMF programmes and ensure KMF students are offered access to the best opportunities following high school;
- Build on existing KMF civil society network to lead to other fundraising/media/collaborative opportunities;
- Develop and implement a marketing and PR strategy, in South Africa and internationally where relevant;
- Chief responsibility for KMF budget and financial reporting;
- Pastoral care duties - liaise with schools, scholars, families and KMF boarding house.
Salary: Negotiable.
