Ilifa Labantwana is a national early childhood development initiative, based in the offices of the DG Murray Trust in Cape Town and operating across four provinces.
Ilifa Labantwana seeks to appoint a dynamic professional Project Manager, based in based in Port Shepstone, KwaZulu-Natal with some travel provincially and nationally.
The person will drive a district level intervention aimed at facilitating the delivery of an essential package of services for young children. The successful candidate will work with government departments (including health, social development, education, arts and culture and sports and recreation) and local NGOs to implement interventions in the Ugu District that have the potential for systemic change, with the view to knock-on implementation in other districts down the line.
- Passion for the development needs of young children in South Africa;
- Self-motivated and able to work independently;
- Communicator able to engage across state and civil society;
- Ability to work within complex, dynamic state systems, and;
- Experienced in facilitating change;
- Valid driver’s license is essential.
Salary: A salary commensurate with experience will be offered.
