German Academic Scholarships for Leadership in African Development (DAAD) for Master’s Degree in Development Studies, Masters Degree in Public Administration and PhD

Candidates with excellent grades in Development Studies or related social science disciplines are invited to apply for admission to the 2013 Master’s by coursework or PhD programmes at University of the Western Cape.

We also invite applications from South African and other Sub-Saharan citizens for scholarships through the SA-German Centre for Development Research.

€650 per month for two years of fulltime master’s study, or €900 per month for three years of fulltime PhD study.

Successful master’s and PhD candidates will also have the opportunity to participate in the master’s or PhD programmes offered by our German partner, the Institute for Development Research and Development Policy at Ruhr-University Bochum.

Application for the CDR Scholarship must be accompanied by a separate motivation letter.
