Computer Aid International is the world's largest and most experienced provider of high-quality, professionally refurbished PCs to developing countries and works with partners to deliver training and technical support to end-recipients.
Computer Aid International seeks to appoint a Director of Marketing and Communications, in London, United Kingdom, for ten months maternity cover to lead and develop a small department. This is a crucial role within the organisation, as well as overseeing the marketing, communications, PR and advocacy for the whole organisation.
The person will also be responsible for ensuring that the organisation receives 40 000 donated computers and laptops throughout the year, a critical resource for Computer Aid to continue its work. This is a very hands-on role and will suit a self starter.
The maternity cover will be from July 2012 through to the end of March 2013. The candidate should be able to start in late June to him/her to have a handover with the current Director of Marketing and Communications
Salary: £36,756 (pro rata) per annum, plus a 3% contributory pension.
Annual leave will be 24 days (pro rata) plus Christmas office closure and statutory holidays.
