R27 600pm

Purpose of Job:

  • The Project Officer is responsible for planning, overseeing and coordinating the programme implementation under the guidance of the National Project Coordinator. 

Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in social sciences, project management, business administration or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in project coordination
  • Experienced in the gender responsive and human rights centered approach
  • Experience working with SANAC, Global Fund and related stakeholders
  • Experience working with community-based organisations
  • Strong experience in member coordination and stakeholder communications
  • Proven experience in workplan development and managing competing tasks while maintaining quality of deliverables within deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to interact and communicate with wide range of stakeholders both verbally and in writing;
  • Strong communication skills and ability to write clear and concise reports in English

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the provision of technical assistance to implementing partners
  • Support the work of CSF Sectors in provinces in South Africa through routinely engaging leaders on project progress
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with CSF Sectors, Provincial Councils on AIDS Secretariats and CSF Leaders in provinces and implementing districts
  • Supporting the design and implementation of training programmes, conferences, seminars and workshops in accordance with the workplan.
  • Establish mechanisms for reflecting on and evaluating coordination processes, including ways of incorporating the voices and experiences of CSF across all levels
  • Provide feedback and prepare quarterly reports and updates for diverse audiences
  • Prepare quarterly activity budgets, workplans and reports as required.
