|The South African Red Cross Society (SARCS) is a National Society that was established by an Act of Parliament as a humanitarian organization auxiliary to the Government in the humanitarian field.
The auxiliary mandate of SARCS as stipulated in the Red Cross Act, demands that it plays a pivotal role in complimenting Governments efforts in Disaster management, Social Services and Health Services. The SARCS service provision aims at preventing and alleviating human suffering, protecting life and health, and restoring the dignity of the most vulnerable communities.
The Training Manager will be based at the National Office
|To plan, co-ordinate, promote, extend and effectively all SARCS skills training Responsible for the programmes of the SA Red Cross and ensuring that the Department delivers efficient service to staff, volunteers, beneficiaries and communities within SARCS.
To ensure the professional level of technical competence amongst all learners who participate in SARCS training courses and Activities throughout, in line with defined national standards.
Job duties and responsibilities
|The Training Manager is responsible for:
Administrative, Communication and Program Support:
Provide technical input and support to the training programmes with regard to:
Monitoring and evaluation of Training projects
Project planning and management
|Diploma or University degree||X|
|Minimum of 2 year experience in health projects||X|
|Experience in Nursing knowledge||X|
|Experience in health and safety legislation||X|
|Experience of working with National Societies||X|
|knowledge of health and Welfare SETA requirements
|Knowledge and Skills||Required||Preferred|
|Good training and facilitating skills||X|
|Very good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills||X|
|Motivated, self-started personality, sense of responsibility and organization skills||X|
|Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and prioritize workload in order to meet tight deadlines.||X|
|Report and proposal compilation skills||X|
|Good computer skills||X|
|Fluent in written and spoken English.||X|
