USAID’s Resilient Waters Program

USAID’s Resilient Waters is a five -year program (June 2018- June 2023), implemented by Chemonics International in collaboration with a consortium of partners. The Resilient Waters Program is seeking full grant applications from eligible entities for implementation of activities designed to address a multi-faceted program whose goal is to build more resilient communities and eco-systems through improved management of trans-boundary natural resources and increased access to safe drinking water and sanitation services.

The Resilient Waters Program seeks the specialist services of an organisation to provide Sanitation Safety Planning (SSP) and training to build on the Sanitation Safety Planning process of the program’s Faecal Sludge Management (FSM) project in Polokwane. The project  started in June 2020. The Sanitation Safety Planning process forms part of a suite of tools that USAID Resilient Waters Program will be implementing to develop the Faecal Sludge Management action plan for Polokwane Local Municipality (PLM). The detailed scope of work is available in the Request for Proposal (RFP) provided in the link below.

The SSP Subcontractor will work with the USAID Resilient Waters Program’s WASH Specialist to deliver the training and manage the fieldwork.

When submitting proposals, please insert the RFP number and title of the activity ‘RFP #1/2020 - Sanitation Safety Plan for Polokwane Municipality’ in the subject field.

Applications under this call will be evaluated after the closing date (18th January 2021); the proposed start date for the activity is 5th February 2021.
