Conservation South Africa currently has a vacancy for a Human Resources administrative assistant to support the HR Manager working in South Africa. This is a 12 month contract position with renewal dependent on funding availability and performance.

The HR Administrator reports to the HR Manager, and plays a crucial role in the support and coordination of Landscape and Head Office teams.

The position will provide administrative support to the field offices and operations division in terms of the administration of: Employee timekeeping; Payroll, leave and human resources.

The position will provide administrative support to the field offices and operations division in terms of the administration of: Employee timekeeping; Payroll, leave and human resources.

  • Administer the full payroll function _ VIP PAYROLL EXPERIENCE (NON NEGOTIABLE)
  • Administer HRIS System, monitor the completion of employee timekeeping, leave and overtime records
  • Assist with all recruitment processes
  • Compiling employment documentation for new hires
  • Filing and capturing of employee information both hard copy and digital           
  • Preparation of statutory payroll reports (SARS)
  • Co _ordinate the entire on-boarding process of new employees
  • Monitor use of leave days for all staff. Escalate any points of concern related to leave to the appropriate party. (Misuse and maximum reached)
  • Sending IRP5’s to personnel
  • Assist in training of staff on HR and Operational policies and procedures.
  • General operational HR support as requested

 Essential minimum requirements for successful application:

  • Relevant tertiary education – HR / Payroll  Management, or similar qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years HR / Payroll working experience.
  • 5 years’ experience in Administration, VIP Payroll, MS Office.
  • Good understanding of fringe benefits, deductions and tax
  • COIDA
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Good administrative and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to handle pressure and adapt to change.
  • Ability to work in a team, use own initiative and be a critical thinker.

 Salary:

  • Salary: (R110 000 – R130 000 per annum)
