Khulisa Social Solutions is s a nonprofit organisation addressing the challenges faced by communities in a holistic and comprehensive manner. It aims to identify the systemic challenges in the society and to overcome fragmentation of policy, systems and delivery through innovative new interventions and partnerships. Khulisa Streetscapes provides chronic homeless individuals with concurrent substance misuse and or mental health problems a rehabilitation opportunity through a dedicated work programme combined with psychosocial support.

Khulisa Social Solutions seeks to appoint an Office Administrator Khulisa Streetcapes, for the to be based in Cape Town.

The salary for this position is R 8 000


Financial administration 

  • Complete of Payment to Third Parties Form and emailing to finance department (two to four per week) 
  • Prepare month end reconciliation files with original forms and backup vouchers
  • Invoice partners (under 10 per month)
  • Manage project petty cash, submitting monthly report
  • Capture updates from monthly financial reports in Streetscapes ‘RECON’ file (± 10 reports)
  • Do weekly reconciliation of sales slips and cash/EFT/snapscan received (± R 2000)
  • Prepare claims as per vouchers submitted by staff 

HR and office administration 

  • Capture monthly staff payments, leave and sick leave and or absences in payroll form 
  • Maintain personnel files and beneficiary database 
  • Purchase for project sites 
  • Manage inventories to ensure office supplies are always available to employees
  • Ensure the office is safe, secure, clean and well-maintained
  • Filing, record keeping and ensure confidentiality of data
  • Printing, copying 
  • Incoming phone calls 
  • Take minutes at staff meetings 
  • Develop and manage systems and procedure to ensure smooth management 
  • Respond to queries about Streetscapes project 

Project reporting

  • Input data to donor reports 
  • Monthly sales report 
  • Monthly expenditure report per Streetscapes social enterprise 


  • Bookkeeping or similar qualification OR extensive programme administration experience
  • Minimum of two years’ office administration experience preferably in an NGO
  • Effective use of MS Office programmes
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in written formats  
  • Strong interpersonal skills 
  • Must have problem solving skills, adherence to close deadlines, ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to multitask 
  • Drivers licence with vehicle advantageous
