Finance Manager Consultancy - Mbombela

Scope of Work

Background and Purpose

Recognised as a leader in delivering complementary care and support services, over the past 16 years, m2m has contributed meaningfully to virtually eliminating mother-to-child transmission of HIV (MTCT) within our client cohorts and improving reproductive, maternal, new-born, child and adolescent health (RMNCAH) outcomes. A South Africa-based not-for-profit organisation (NGO), m2m trains, employs, and empowers local HIV-positive mothers to serve as frontline healthcare workers in understaffed health clinics and in their communities. Known as Mentor Mothers, these women have an intimate understanding of the social and cultural challenges of living with HIV, giving them a unique ability to form trusted relationships with other women and their families – a rapport vital to help individuals overcome fears and make lifesaving decisions. Mentor Mothers, become role models in their communities, fighting stigma by example.  In 2017, m2m Mentor Mothers provided RMNCAH and prevention of MTCT services to an estimated 730,000 beneficiaries in 6 countries in Southern and East Africa.

m2m is currently starting up a project serving orphans and vulnerable children in Mpumalanga. The consultant will be responsible for managing the financial and operational start-up of m2m’s CHAMP Mpumalanga project, and handover to the project Financial and Operations Manager once recruited.
