AF seeks to appoint a Business Development and Marketing Assistant, to be based in Sandton.

The purpose of the Business Development and Marketing Assistant is to play a key role in the development of the organisations brand and messaging, supporting the Business Development Manager (BDM) in the delivery of the Business Development Unit’s (BDU) Strategy.



  • Support the BDM in the production of:
    • Funding Proposals
    • Donor reports and communications
    • Presentations
    • Project impact stories
    • Website content
    • Print collateral

Content and Image Management

  • Ensure the systematic filing of marketing content for use by all relevant staff members
  • Assist with the development of templates for BDU outputs
  • Photo edit, label and file to develop a comprehensive organisational image library
  • Identify gaps in project information and images, required to deliver the marketing and reporting needs

Social Media Marketing and Website

  • Work alongside the BDM to develop and implement strong social media marketing campaigns
  • Manage website and given gain updates, ensuring that all content is accurate and up to date
  • Produce social media analysis reports and action points

Marketing Collateral

  • Support the design, sourcing and procurement processes for marketing resources (banners, signage, promotional caps, print information)

Stakeholder Relationship Support

  • Support and assist in meeting the marketing and donor reporting requirements of key stakeholders:
    • Maintain close working relationship with and Beyond’s marketing department
    • Communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders and donors
    • Attend donor queries from social media, website and generic email sources
    • Maintain CRM / donor database
    • Support the coordination of the organisations stakeholder and fundraising events
