Responsibilities:

  • Ensure alignment of strategic plan to the broader SFH strategy for MMC.
  • Set strategic direction for directly managed sites and franchise sites with regard to program implementation
  • Develop and implement work plans with the sites in alignment with set targets
  • Monitor achievement to target and ensure that sites are performing
  • Identify training gaps and liaise with support departments to provide appropriate training   
  • Develop or update programme related materials (SOPs, operational manuals and guidelines and other job aids)
  • Provide ongoing technical guidance, supervision and support to MMC sites
  • Ensure that MMC sites adhere to the operational procedures established in the network, national and provincial MMC operational procedures and guidelines, donor guidelines and SFH policies
  • Ensure that MMC sites are conducting continuous quality improvement procedures as per the operational guidelines and in alignment to donor requirements
  • Conduct quality assurance visits according to work plan or as required 
  • Prepare sites for PEPFAR EQA and SIMS visits in accordance to standardised tools
  • Support Site Managers and ensure that they grow in their jobs, skills and abilities
  • Ensure that MMC sites within the network are adequately furnished and stocked with necessary equipment and resources 
  • Identify departmental staffing needs and provide recommendations for recruitment
  • Manage disciplinary procedures in the event of misconduct
  • Ensure that all assets at the site are well managed and accounted for
  • Liaise with Government Relations Manager and the MMC Program Manager to ensure that good relations are maintained with NGO partners and district health departments  
  • Liaise with MMC Program Manager to ensure that SLAs with Department of Health are in place
  • Ensure good relations are maintained by all sites with NGO partners and district health departments
  • Maintain good working relations with internal support departments
  • Coordinate programme trainings, meetings, conferences, travel, accommodation, functions and events related to MMC activities 
  • Ensure procurement of program related equipment and supplies in accordance to procurement guidelines and policies
  • Ensure that timesheets are submitted to payroll on time
  • Ensure data collection from the MMC sites within the network is accurate and timely
  • Compile programme monthly, quarterly and annual reports on project activities
  • Compile programme presentations
  • Ensure that all reports are aligned to donor and SFH requirement 
  • Provide oversight on site petty cash management  
  • Liaise with the finance department to ensure that petty cash is paid on time 
  • Liaise with finance and Grants department to ensure that franchise partners are paid on time
  • Develop budgets for new site partners
  • Perform quarterly review and reconciliation of the budgets

Requirements:
  • First Degree in nursing or clinical associate
  • Drivers’ license
  • Registration with the relevant regulatory body where applicable
  • At least 5 years program management experience 
  • At least 3 years HIV / AIDs experience
  • At least 3 years MMC service delivery, QA and/or program implementation experience
  • Experience in Training and public speaking
  • Experience in supervising diverse teams 
  • Computer literate MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
