VPUU NPC is a Public Benefit Organisation implementing multisectoral integrated area based upgrading programmes of neighbourhoods in townships and informal settlements. This is done in partnership with communities, municipalities, provincial and national government.

We work in an integrated team of community participation, socio economic development, operation and maintenance, planning and design, infrastructure development, and knowledge management towards sustainable urban neighbourhoods. For our team we are looking for

R150.000 p.a., R12.500 per month
Fixed term contract 01.07.2018 - 30.06.2019

Job Purpose:
To provide administrative support for VPUU’s facility management operations.
Key Performance Areas:

  • Provide facility management support with Operations and Repairs & Maintenance, assisting with scheduling a local team providing these services (key  management, supplier database, coordinate contractor site visits, repair quotes, tool management, supply orders, assist with local staff scheduling, electricity purchase records, manage petty cash)
  • Provide tenant management support: lease updates & administration, correspondence and record keeping for payment history, update tenant records
  • Manage facility room booking system
  • Support receptionist and office functions
  • Implement and maintain effective systems and filing system
  • Attend meetings and take minutes


  • Diploma or NQF 5 Qualification in office administration/management or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within an administrative, facility management, project management  or technical environment
  • Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email
  • Effective oral/written communication skills in both English and IsiXhosa
  • Strong organisational & analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities and deadlines
  • Experience in customer service would be advantageous
  • Typing and minute taking
  • Data capturing
  • Reliable and responsible
  • Valid Code EB drivers’ license
