Columba Leadership’s aim is to activate the potential of young people to enhance their own life outcomes as well as contribute to positive social change in their schools and communities by offering a values-based leadership academy at schools situated in disadvantaged communities around South Africa.

Columba Leadership seeks to appoint a Finance and Admin Support, to be based in Johannesburg.

The purpose of the position is to provide financial and administrative services in order to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations within the organisation.


  • Implement financial policies and procedures
  • Establish new and maintain existing supplier accounts
  • Process supplier invoices
  • Ensure transactions are properly recorded and entered into SAGE Pastel
  • Maintain financial files and records
  • Receive and verify invoices
  • Process and record petty cash transactions
  • Reconcile accounts
  • Book staff travel, conferences and training where required
  • Assist the Chief Financial Officer with adhoc duties from time to time
  • HR administration duties


  • Grade 12 Certificate
  • Certificate in finance or equivalent
  • Understanding of Accounting principles
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Experience in using Outlook
  • Experience in using Pastel Evolution
  • Demonstrate team work skills
  • Communication skills with a wide range of people
  • Experience in providing general support in a small team
  • Attention to detail
  • Good time management
