TSiBA Education is a unique, private, not for profit business school that helps people who cannot access opportunities to jump ahead in life. TSiBA does this by providing emerging leaders with full-tuition scholarships to study towards our high quality, accredited academic courses that are focused on developing entrepreneurship and leadership.
 
Based in Cape Town, TSiBA Education seeks to fill the position of 

Chief Executive Officer

to provide strategic direction, leadership and ultimate accountability for TSiBA Education as well as empowering the organization for sustainability and creating an investment climate. He/she will cooperate with and direct operational managers to ensure that clear systems and structures are in place.

Key responsibilities for this exciting position include but are not limited to:

  • Providing inspirational leadership to TSiBA in line with the value system that flows through the organization
  • Actively promoting TSiBA as a credible institution in the community, developing and leveraging networks to foster a positive image of TSiBA, representing the institution’s interests and bringing to bear a positive influence on relevant stakeholders, key opinion formers and policy makers
  • Developing, monitoring and reviewing a Risk Strategy that regularly and clearly identifies all risks in TSiBA and to take steps to mitigate these
  • Liaising with the board and acting as a key link between TSiBA and the board of Directors
  • Overseeing the operations of the campus
  • Providing the best use of resources to meet objectives and ensure effectiveness and success in the areas of Academics, Business Services and Sustainability

Key requirements for the Chief Executive Officer include but are not limited to:

  • Masters level degree or equivalent post-graduate qualification
  • Extensive business experience at a senior management level
  • An intimate knowledge and understanding of the educational sector in South Africa
  • Sound and proven leadership qualities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in leading and supporting a team and building capacity
  • Financial acumen and an ability to see the bigger picture
  • High level fundraising, networking and partnership building skills and experience
  • Ongoing commitment to own growth and development
  • High emotional intelligence quotient
  • Commitment to the values and mission of TSiBA
