REPSSI (Regional Psychosocial Support Initiative) is the leading African psychosocial support organisation. REPSSI’s vision is that all girls, boys and youth have the right to enjoy psychosocial and mental wellbeing. REPSSI has strong partnerships with governments (particularly the ministries responsible for social services, education and health), development partners, international organisations and NGOs in thirteen countries of East and Southern Africa. 

REPSSI seeks the services of a reputable Communications Company to support with REPSSI’s communications on a retainer basis.


Visibility (internal and external communications) and a structured communications system:

  • Identify new technologies, tools and strategies for communicating
  • Package content for improved communication
  • Review and support the implementation of communication and information strategy and dissemination systems.

 Brand identity management:

  • Manage and communicate REPSSI’s brand integrity internally and externally
  • Uphold the REPSSI Brand in all communication with stakeholders and the general public
  • Manage the designs for REPSSI and the implementation thereof on both above and below the line platforms
  • Edit all REPSSI material designed for external distribution, programme implementation and training purposes

Public relations and external media management:

  • Manage and facilitate systems to synergise communication across media platforms to ensure professional and controlled exposure
  • Organise all corporate, PR, launch and media events
  • Support and participate in the broader REPSSI events such as the PSS Forum, to capture and highlight with a marketing bias
  • Assist with, and liaise with the programme departments for effective understanding of the communication strategy and integration of themes into programmes 
  • Assist with content development for marketing, campaign or communication needs

Develop materials; Editing and production thereof: 

  • Develop tools and content for improved communication
  • Identify, develop, co-ordinate and manage communication opportunities across REPSSI programmes with an emphasis on marketing and communication
  • Assist with managing the development of content for REPSSI’s website and intranet and identify and develop new opportunities to increase visitor access and content sharing

 Social media management:

  • Take responsibility to create and implement REPSSI content strategies across the various social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Sound Cloud, YouTube and LinkedIn)
  • Upload daily content to drive discussion and participation on social media platforms on behalf of REPSSI


  • Take responsibility for the management of all REPSSI design needs for reports, marketing and communication tools
