REAP is a national NGO and Associate Body of the Southern African Catholic Bishops’ Conference that facilitates access to Higher Education for poor rural matriculates. REAP is seeking to appoint a Senior Student Development Advisor who will be based in Bloemfontein.  We are looking for a mature professional who has supervisory experience and who is self-assured.  We are looking for a self-driven, confident, professionally mature individual who has leadership qualities and high work energy levels.
Minimum specific requirements:

  • A Completed Social Work or Social Sciences University Degree
  • At least 4 years minimum experience working with youth, preferably in the higher education sector or student support services
  • At least 3 years project management experience
  • At least 3 years performance management experience
  • Unendorsed driver’s licence with driving experience

  • Strong facilitation skills
  • High levels of attention to detail & accuracy
  • Computer literacy – Microsoft Suite and database systems
  • Excellent Administration Skills including report writing and financial administration
  • Knowledge & understanding of the Higher Education Institution sector
  • Independent, solutions-oriented and resourceful thinking
  • Ability to analyse & interpret data
  • Strong team playing skills
  • Excellent self-management skills
