The South Africa Low Emissions Development Program (SA-LED) is a five-year program that was jointly designed by USAID, the South African Departments of Environmental Affairs, Science and Technology to support the implementation of renewable energy, energy efficiency, sustainable transport, and integrated waste management projects at subnational scale.
 
Chemonics International Inc. has been appointed by USAID to implement this program and is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a biogas consultants, companies or consulting firms to draft a comprehensive set of guidelines for entities wishing to develop Terms of Reference (ToR) or RfP in order to implement a micro-digester project(s).

This RFP does not obligate Chemonics to execute a subcontract nor does it commit Chemonics to pay any costs incurred in the preparation and submission of the proposals. Furthermore, Chemonics reserves the right to reject any and all offers, if such action is considered to be in the best interest of Chemonics.
