Tholulwazi Uzivikele is a non-governmental organisation, guided by Christian values, serving the needs of the community of northern uMhlabuyalingana, far-north KwaZulu-Natal.  Tholulwazi Uzivikele has been in existence since 2002, and has over time supported many community members.

Job purpose: Overall leadership and direction of Tholulwazi Uzivikele.

Specific objectives include:

Board governance: Work with the board to fulfil the mission of Tholulwazi Uzivikele.
Financial performance and viability: Develop sufficient resources to ensure the financial health of the organisation.
Organisation mission and strategy: Work with the board and colleagues to ensure that the mission is fulfilled through programmes, strategic planning, and financial controls.
Organisation operations: Oversee and implement appropriate resources to ensure that programmes are in line with community needs.


 Negotiable, depending on experience, in line with that a small, rural NGO.

Post-school qualification in a relevant discipline.


At least 3 years senior management experience.  At least 5 years community development  experience.  Fundraising.  Donor report writing.


English (written and spoken), and isiZulu (spoken required, written a plus).  Accounting/mathematics, office administration, and computer application are required.
