They provide health care services. They educate our youth. They care for orphaned children. They produce food for their communities. They play an integral role in our communities.
Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime. That’s the guiding principle underpinning our social entrepreneurship program – a programme that aims to nurture selected social entrepreneurs away from dependency on external funding and fund raising, towards business sustainability and a greater social and economic impact as a whole.
Our social entrepreneurs programme recognises that self-sustaining social entrepreneurs are more valuable to the social good than organisations driven wholly by philanthropic funding. The overall goal of the programme is to find the right entrepreneurs to fill the gap in health care, and develop them to be fully self-sustaining.
This programme aims to blend a model of entrepreneurial sense with socially impactful businesses which will be achieved through a rigorous process that immediately identifies social entrepreneurs who had the character, willpower and tenacity to succeed and ultimately create the change required in South Africa.
We encourage all social entrepreneurs to apply for our business growth programme which is designed to provide you with business support and development. Our programme is for unique, disruptive, and impactful social entrepreneurs and aims to formalise their enterprises; and structure them into profitable, growth-ready, commercially viable businesses that will make an even greater impact on their communities.
