2X MALARIA CONTROL DISTRICT COORDINATOR (1X LIMPOPO and 1 XMPUMALANGA)
Key Responsibilities:

  • Project management at District level – assisting the Project Manager in setting up of project systems and timelines: recruitment and training of field officers, mapping of mobile clinic routes, pharmaceutical supplies, monitoring & evaluation, accountability and learning. 
  • Assess training needs and plan trainings for all field staff.
  • Coordinate skills training to Nurses Community Health Workers and Volunteers
  • Developing and managing monthly and quarterly programme deliverables, completing all reporting, M&E, reporting and participant follow up activities
  • Assisting in the mapping of mobile malaria posts, in consultation with the DoH.
  • Set up and coordinating service delivery (case management and surveillance models).
  • Collaboration with District and Provincial Department of Health in ensuring a coordinated approach in service delivery and participate in malaria workshops at district and provincial level. Develop a communication system and plan to Department of Health to ensure smooth coordination with the DoH at district level.
  • Plan and coordinate events (monthly awareness events and Malaria Day event)
  • To establish new partnerships and collaborations (NGOs and CBOs), and maintaining existing relationships with partners to improve demand generation and community engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or bachelor's degree in Health Science , Public Health or Equivalent qualification
  • Drivers License

Experience Required:

  • 5 years experience in Malaria Program Management , Malaria Case Management
  • 3 years experience in training & Coaching
  • Proven track record of understanding Global fund and Government reporting systems

4X COMMUNITY HEALTH WORKERS and COMMUNITY OFFICERS (2 x Limpopo , 2x Mpumalanga)
 
Responsibilities:

  • Participate in all programme planning, programme development and review meetings
  • Particioate in formulation and development of programme budhgets
  • Provide ongoing welfare and support to volunteers and Volunteer Peer educators , and ensure documentation and sharing of information obtained and support visits
  • Monitor the safety, security and welfare of volunteers at all times, and report and share updates from volunteer monitoring visits with the District Coordinator on a regular basis 
  • Mobilise people through door to door, community structures, schools to take get tested for malaria in mobile clinics.
  • Mobilise community members to participate in workshops and events for the malaria programme.
  • Ensure the events materials are well understood by all participants Keep updated attendance registers of training sessions.
  • Conduct community mobilisation and sensitisation programmes, to ensure maximum participation of communities.
  • Collect and collate/compile monthly, quarterly or any reports and data required information relating to the programme and submit this to the District Coordinator.
  • Collect and compile M&E data, & compile and submit monthly reports to the District Coordinator.

Qualifications and Experience,

  • Matric Certificate
  • HCT Trained and Certified;
  • Computer Literate
  • Ability to write and communicate in English

Experience Required:

  • 3 years experience in community mobilising
  • 3 years experience in counselling
  • Excellent understanding of Malaria symptoms, Preventiom and Treatment
