Main purpose of the job
To lead the provision of effective operational support services to all staff and sites, specifically in the areas of financial management, donor liaison and organizational administration.
 
Location: Parktown
 
Key performance areas

  • Offering financial advice and construction of budgets and applications for specific clients
  • Effective compliance with donor requirements
  • Effective management of finance deliverables for shared services centre and grant accountants
  • Compilation of financials and donor reports
  • Effective team management and people leadership for shared services centre
  • Effective liaison with all relevant stakeholders
  • Effective self-management and performance ownership

Required minimum education and training

  • B.Com Accounting
  • Required minimum work experience
  • Minimum of 4 years’ financial experience in a healthcare or donor funded environment

Desirable additional education, work experience and personal abilities

  • Knowledge of Sage X3, IFRS and the SA GAAP
  • Ability to influence and negotiate with all stakeholders
  • Dead-line driven
  • Knowledge of donor specific requirements
  • Sound contractual knowledge
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Required to work overtime and may be required to travel to various sites
