Post: Branch Manager (Gauteng: Benoni)
Minimum Requirements and Key Performance Areas:

  • A tertiary level qualification in Project Management/ Management and/ or equivalent with minimum 3 years’ experience in similar position
  • Ability to manage and provide technical support and guidance to staff within the branch and nursery school
  • Able to execute fundraising opportunities locally
  • Experience in report writing therefore must be computer literate with experience in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint , Microsoft Access,  Excel and Outlook
  • Must have experience in budgeting, planning, needs analysis, co-ordination and community relations.
  • A proven ability to interact effectively with government agencies, CBOs and NGOs
  • To be able to communicate effectively in English
  • Strong commitment to the humanitarian principles of the Red Cross Movement
  • Valid code 8 driver’s licence with minimum 12 months experience with no endorsement (manual) and have own vehicle.
  • To undertake any other duties as requested.

Post: Project/ Branch Manager (Kwa Zulu Natal: Port Shepstone, Pietermaritzburg and Zululand)
Minimum Requirements and Key Performance Areas:

  • Three year Degree/ Diploma in social sciences, Project Management will be an advantage
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a management role and community health care and/or social development programmes
  • Must be involved in marketing and resource mobilisation to be able to raise funds to sustain the branch expenses
  • Identify and strengthen partnerships with government, business and civil society organizations at a branch level
  • A proven ability to interact effectively with government agencies, CBOs and NGOs
  • To be competent in overall planning, implementation and coordination of all programmes within the branch
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects, project budgets, etc according to specific requirements
  • Must have excellent financial skills and the ability to manage and provide technical support and guidance to staff within the branch
  • To be able to communicate effectively and be pro-active, energetic and positive with strong commitment to the humanitarian principles of the Red Cross Movement
  • Valid code 8 driver’s licence with minimum 12 months experience with no endorsement (manual)
  • Experience in report writing therefore must be computer literate in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Access, Excel and Outlook.

Post: Branch Training Co-ordinator (Kwa Zulu Natal: Port Shepstone)
Minimum Requirements and Key Performance Areas:
  • Must have Grade 12, be a qualified trainer, assessor and moderator and be registered with Health and Welfare SETA or ETDP SETA
  • 2-5 years’ experience in Community based training/ health care based training, management of training, instructing and supervising training, etc.
  • Experience in management of training and drawing up of training plans
  • Ensure compliance with HWSETA requirements
  • Develop a marketing plan to attract clients for training
  • Ability to generate income from training and/ or set up a Training Centre as a sustainable model
  • Draw up monthly, quarterly and annual statistical and narrative reports
  • Must be computer literate in Microsoft package programmes
  • Must have a Drivers Licence: Code 8 and be able to travel to conduct onsite training and marketing
  • To undertake any other duties as requested

 
Post: National Disaster Manager (Sandton)
Minimum Requirements and Key Performance Areas:

  • Tertiary qualification in Disaster Management at NQF level 6 .Experience in disaster management at a managerial level will be an advantage.
  • Must have experience and knowledge in finances focusing on monitoring and managing budgets, reconciling of advance, etc
  • To submit reports on every disasters and periodic reports to donors, management and beneficiaries.
  • To establish capacity within the disaster field to enable the effective implementation of disaster management policy and regulations
  • To develop a uniform approach to assessing and monitoring disaster risk, quality control and dissemination of disaster information.
  • To ensure effective and appropriate disaster response and recovery by creating guidelines and mechanisms for the assessment and review of disasters.
  • To build and promote cohesive relationship with all tiers of Government on Disaster Response and mitigation.
  • Establish standardised and regulated relief measures.
  • Must be able to source funding for disaster management nationally
  • To develop and manage a disaster preparedness list of resources nationally
  • Must be able to develop training material for staff and volunteer development
  • To lead and develop Provincial and Branch Disaster Management and staff
  • Ability to network and with stakeholders and have close bilateral with NDMC and Government.
  • Must be prepared to work extra-ordinary hours
  • To have effective communication skills.

Post: Fundraising / Relationship Manager (Sandton)
Minimum Requirements and Key Performance Areas:

  • 3 year degree/diploma in Marketing/Public Relations or other relevant qualification with equivalent experience
  • Extensive experience of fundraising with proven ability to raise funds from donors/ client relationships to a value of R1 million rand and over
  • Experience in developing and managing donor/ client relationships
  • Must have a high ability to verbally present information about projects/ fundraising proposals to capture different audiences
  • Must have excellent written communication skills to develop proposals and reports
  • To operate at a Senior Management Level
  • Ability to plan and manage complex projects in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Must be able to work outside of normal working hours
  • Computer literacy including experience in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint , Microsoft Access,  Excel and Outlook
  • Valid code 8 driver’s licence with minimum 12 months experience with no endorsement (manual) and be willing to travel
