The Graça Machel Trust seeks to appoint the Finance and Admin Manager, Receptionist / Administration Assistant and the Women Network Coordinator to be based in Johannesburg:

Finance and Administration Manager

The Finance and Administration Manager contributes to the overall success of the organization by effectively managing all administrative and financial tasks for the Graça Machel Trust (GMT). The Finance and Administrative (F&A) Manager is to optimize finance, administrative and human resources systems and processes within the Graça Machel Trust (GMT), in line with its policies, procedures and guidelines, the moral and ethical organizational principles, and legal requirements.

  • Financial Accounting and Reporting
  • Budgeting
  • Information Technology
  • Risk Management
  • Administration Management
  • Human Resources Management

Education

  • Academic qualifications in finance and/or accounting.

Experience

  • At least 7 years’ experience in financial management in an NGO environment
  • Experience in strategic financial Management
  • Proven experiences in donor reporting
  • Experiences in furthering the organizational development of an NGO is strongly preferred

Receptionist / Administration Assistant 

Receptionist /Administrative Assistant is to ensure the smooth and efficient running of an office, switchboard operation and undertaking a range of logistics as well as general administrative clerical related activities.

Media Network Coordinator

Media Network Coordinator support the media in particular senior women professionals, drive coordinated messaging  and build awareness on issues related to girls and women’s health, education, and economic empowerment.  Media Network Coordinator will create a network of women in Africa’s traditional and new media to collectively strategize, develop and disseminate empowering messaging and storylines about women and children in Africa, focusing in health, education and economic empowerment . The individual will be involved in building relationships with women journalists which will be identified to form a core group that meets on a regular basis to identify opportunities for coordinated messaging on development issues, and to identify young female talent that can be enlisted into the network.
