The Mandela Washington Fellowship is calling for applications for Volunteers to mentor the 2015 Mandela Washington Fellows.
The Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, is a part of U.S. President Obama's Young African Leaders Initiative. Annually, the programme takes young African leaders to the U.S. for six-week leadership institutes, and IREX, a development agency, works with USAID to support their professional development after they return to their home countries.

IREX is looking for individuals in Southern Africa to mentor Mandela Washington Fellows, either virtually or in-person. As the Fellows themselves are aged 25-35, the organisation is ideally looking for mid-career professionals or higher with at least ten years of experience in their field.

An example of  a mentoring relationship with a Fellow can be viewed here

While the Fellows come from diverse backgrounds and have a variety of interests, some of the specific needs include improving communications skills, growing and expanding businesses, refining personal vision, growing professional networks, and career advice.

Should you be interested in working with young dynamic leaders, please complete the registration form embedded here.
