This organisation is seeking to appoint a person who preferably has a relevant degree, and a proven record of generating donor funds to a value of at least R4-5m per annum.  You will be able to expand the donor base, increase existing funds, and extend the visibility of the organisation within the business and commercial sector basis. There is a requirement to nurture and develop strong relationships with donors, keep them informed of action within the organisation and to give sound reporting on donor funds to reassure them of the use of their contributions. You will have experience in Marketing and PR and have been involved in developing the strategic direction of fundraising in previous positions.  

Ideally you will be someone who has sound Marketing and Communication skills, with extensive written and verbal skills in both English and Afrikaans, in order to handle grants and proposals, and to be a strong planner and organiser. You will run the database of donors and keep accurate records of funding. It is essential that you will have a motor vehicle and valid driver’s licence to access donors and corporate entities,  to be able to identify new areas of funding and to access possible new sources of income.

Strong computer skills on MS Office, and an ability to contribute to the Newsletter and Information dissemination to donors and stakeholders is essential. You will be an initiator who is able to develop the donor database and connections, and be able to manage your time on the various donor projects.

You will have the backing of a credible and long established organisation, to be able to approach people with confidence, for contributions. Ideally you will reside in the Cape Town area, and be looking to work within a community service organisation which makes a difference in various communities.
