South African Older Persons Forum (SAOPF) a nonprofit organisation that  identify and articulate the concerns and needs of older persons, as voiced by them, and, in consultation with Government and other role players, to ensure that these needs are addressed in legislation, services and programmes together with  HelpAge International an International nonprofit organisation that helps older people claim their rights, challenge discrimination and overcome poverty, so that they can lead dignified, secure, active and healthy lives.

SAOPF seeks to appoint a:

National Office, Office Administrator
Based In Cape Town Office      
Full Time Position (110 500, Total Cost to Company Including 13th Performance Based Cheque 

Overall Purpose of the Job

To provide administrative support to the National Office in terms of the following Duties. Manning the switch Board and be the first point of contact to the Organization, run a professional front line desk of the Organization, manage the diary of the National Coordinator and arrange his travelling requirements, do booking of accommodation and travelling arrangements for the National Board, National Coordinator as and when needed. Ensure correct filling of incoming and outgoing correspondence, maintain the Organization’s membership data base, be knowledgeable about the Organization so as to support Provincial Staff and membership about information needed. Prepare refreshment during Board meeting and when there are Visitors. Be responsible for stationery needs management.

Requirements:

Typing certificate, full knowledge of the use of Word, Excel, power point and Outlook. Good command of spoken and written English. Knowledge of two additional other South African Official Languages, as we are a National Organization. Very disciplined individual who can work as an individual and fit well within a Team when needed. Very meticulous and neat someone who is very conscious of paperwork being in their relevant space and place at all times. Good Coordination skills of activities at a National Level, serving our Provincial Forums and able to deal with Board at that level.
