Hivos seeks to appoint innovative and committed staff to the following 2 positions:
The Country Hub Director reports to the Regional Director Southern Africa and is responsible for the development, resource mobilisation and implementation of a coherent and meaningful Hivos programme in South Africa. Key responsibilities include: quality management and compliance, financial and operational sustainability, management and guidance to a team of professionals, subject specialists, consultants and support staff.
Requirements for this challenging post include a relevant master’s degree and 10-15 years’ experience in a leadership management capacity as well as expertise in transparency and accountability, LGBTI rights, Women’s empowerment, or Renewable Energy. A proven track record in resource mobilisation is essential as well as solid experience in project management and business development. Experience in organisational development and change management trajectories is desirable.
The Consultant will be required to lead the implementation of the transition and integration plan for of the Hivos Country Hub in South Africa alongside the Country Director. This will involve: the assessment of Hivos SA systems including finance, HR and IT; design and implementation of engagement strategies with donors, staff and wider stakeholders of Hivos SA; development of a training and skills development plan for staff and a communications strategy and plan for current Hivos SA partners, donors and other stakeholders.
Requirements include a university degree in business, management or organisational psychology and experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools, preferably with a change management certification. Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle and solid experience in managing successful change process.
