Business Development Officers (2)
Business Development Officers (BDOs) anchor the diverse bid teams that develop highly competitive funding proposals. The role consists of a series of short term assignments (4-6 weeks each), working across 16 countries in Africa and works with colleagues from finance, monitoring and evaluation, HR, legal, and technical programme departments and ensuring that all inputs come together successfully and on deadline.
No assignment is the same in terms of geography, partners or focus and this role helps bring a consistency in process and decision making.
Ideal Applicant Summary
We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, passionate about social justice, knows how to be creative and persistent to achieve results, demonstrates consistent leadership and can work independently in a variety of changing circumstances. The ideal candidate will bring strong proposal writing and facilitation skills and be able to manage a team of colleagues and apply good judgement. Candidates should enjoy extensive travel and be highly adaptable.
