Chemonics International Inc. is a leading international consulting firm based in Washington, D.C. with decades of experience collaborating with host-country counterparts around the world to improve the availability of health commodities and manage complex developing country supply chain systems. Chemonics seeks experienced professionals for an anticipated USAID-funded supply chain technical assistance project in South Africa. The project aims to improve the availability of essential health commodities (for HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, family planning, etc.) and accelerate the strengthening of public health supply chains by providing strategic technical assistance.

We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world. All candidates must possess a graduate degree in a relevant field and English fluency is required. Experience in South Africa is preferred.
 

Chief of Party
  • Minimum 10 years of experience leading supply chain management programs; experience working with the private and public sector preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading development projects overseas; experience working with U.S. government preferred
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with host-country officials, donors, and other key stakeholders
  • Senior Visibility and Analytics Network (VAN) Specialist
  • Minimum 7 years of experience managing large-scale information technology systems development projects similar in nature to the VAN concept
  • Experience interacting with South African government officials at the national, provincial, and district levels

 Senior Procurement and Logistics Specialist

  • Minimum 7 years of experience supporting demand planning, direct delivery, and/or community distribution activities
  • Proven experience recruiting and managing teams, and ensuring the quality of their products
  • Prior experience supervising staff in remote locations

 Senior Health Systems Strengthening (HSS) Specialist

  • Minimum 7 years of experience supporting supply chain systems strengthening activities
  • Experience strengthening health systems in South Africa and interacting with South African government officials at the national, provincial, and district levels

Senior Finance Manager

  • Minimum 7 years of experience managing the finances of large donor-funded assistance programs, and experience interacting with U.S. government technical and financial staff
  • Excellent record of cost control; timely reporting of accruals, vouchers, quarterly financial reports, expenditure analysis, and/or other required documentation and audit findings
