Orange Babies is a charitable foundation dedicated to preventing mother to child transmission of HIV and assisting children infected and affected by HIV and / or AIDS in Southern Africa. The Foundation has its head office in Amsterdam, with a satellite office in Braamfontein, Johannesburg. Currently, Orange Babies funds projects in Gauteng, Limpopo and the Western Cape.
 
Based in Johannesburg, Orange Babies South Africa (OBSA) seeks to appoint a
 
Country Manager

To oversee the development, implementation, monitoring & evaluation of country office activities and ensure that they are in line with Orange Babies’ goals and initiating fundraising and Brand Visibility activity. The Country Manager will report directly to the CEO.

Key responsibilities of this challenging position include:

  • Upholding Orange Babies’ good image at all levels, internal and external
  • Contributing to local branding, visibility and positioning within projects and with external stakeholders
  • Setting annual fund raising targets in consultation with the Board Of OBSA
  • Managing relationships with current funding partners and developing new relationships
  • Overseeing the development and implementation of new project approaches appropriate within the context of OBSA
  • Monitoring project performance and advocating intervention where necessary and in consultation with the CEO
  • Assessing the semester reports submitted by the projects and providing feedback thereto

The Country Manager must meet the following criteria:

  • A relevant post graduate qualification
  • At least 5 years related experience within a non-profit environment
  • Proven fundraising ability
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and networking skills
  • Fluency in English with fluency in Dutch an advantage
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to produce comprehensive reports and plans
  • Knowledge of financial reporting and management within the non-profit environment
  • Ability to travel to the projects in other provinces
  • Drivers licence with own transport
