Most Zimbabwean victims of political violence doubt that an organ set up by the coalition government to bridge divisions among citizens has the neither capacity nor willingness to effectively do so, according to a report

A report released by the Zimbabwe Human Rights NGO Forum states that most Zimbabwean victims of political violence doubt that an organ set up by the coalition government to bridge divisions among citizens has the capacity nor willingness to effectively do so.

The report found that about 74 percent of the victims who participated in the study do not know the existence of the organ and the work it does, while the remainder is not confident that it can address their emotive issues.

The National Healing, Reconciliation and Integration organ was established in 2009 under the Global Political Agreement (GPA) between ZANU-PF and the two Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) political parties.
