Zim Women Urged to Stop Using Contraceptives

Zimbabwe's registrar general urges the country's women to stop using contraceptives

Zimbabwe's registrar general, Tobaiwa Mudede, has advised the country's women to stop using contraceptives.

Speaking at the Africa Day celebration on 25 May 2014 in the country’s capital Harare, Mudede described the promotion of birth control measures as a ‘ploy’ by western nations to retard population growth in Africa.

He further added that the use of these contraceptives made women more vulnerable to the risk of developing cancer, and should be stopped.
