TAC Praises Hogan’s Landmark Speech

The Treatment Action Campaign (TAC) has praised the newly-appointed health minister, Barbara Hogan, for her openness, honesty and the leadership she has shown since taking office last month.

The organisation says that Hogan’s acknowledgement of the casual link between HIV and AIDS recognises the depth and severity of the HIV/AIDS crisis in the country.

TAC’s comments follow Hogan’s landmark speech at the International HIV Vaccine Research Conference in Cape Town this week.
