SchoolGirl Dropout Rate A Concern - NGO

Chatsworth Child Welfare is concerned over the alarming rate of schoolgirl dropouts in KwaZulu-Natal

Chatsworth Child Welfare has expressed concern over the increasing number of girls who drop out of school to assist their parents with money.
Chatsworth Child Welfare chairperson, Logan Naidu, argues that girls are forced to seek casual work to support their families and in some cases - drug addictions or prostitution.
The organisation states that its main mission, together with the Department of Basic Education is to embark on programmes aimed at educating children.
