SABC Board Blamed for Crisis

Organisations close to the SABC are blaming the SABC Board, saying the crisis is the result of its failure to deal timeously with the latest problems

Organisations close to the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) are blaming the SABC Board, saying the crisis is the result of its failure to deal timeously with the latest problems.

Documentary suppliers to SABC, the Independent Producers Organisation, is questioning why Robin Nicholson’s contract as acting group CEO had been allowed to expire without the board submitting a replacement to the Cabinet.

Whatever the reason, and both are cause for concern, the continued lack of competent leadership at the SABC is deepening the crisis of Independent Producers Organisation, which is already in trouble and debt.
