Red Cross makes appeal for donations

The Witness, 14 January 2005 The KZN branch of the Red Cross on Thursday appealed for food and clothing donations for the thousands of people left homeless by storm damage according to the Witness. The Red Cross would appreciate assistance with food and clothing. Cash donations will go to rebuilding infrastructure. Pick 'n Pay's regional office and stores on Thursday delivered approximately one ton of food and clothing to the Red Cross. "Pick 'n Pay is involved in relief efforts in south-east Asia. We are also as committed to helping the flood victims in KZN," said Dion Blom, Pick 'n Pay's KZN general manager. To donate, visit any Pick 'n Pay, where information is displayed on posters.
