R1.2mn funds for NPOs in arts sector

Funding applications from thirty NPOs in the arts sector have been announced as successful by the Arts and Culture Trust (ACT) for their current funding cycle, reports the Witness. More than R1,2 mn will be distributed, due to donations from the Royal Netherlands Embassy.

ACT was founded in 1994 and focuses on job creation,creative skills, management skills, cultural diversity, awareness and understanding and cultural tourism and marketing of development in the arts sector. All projects that receive ACT funding are monitored during the funding cycle to ensure that funds are used for their intended purpose.
