PAP is Voiceless - Zuma

The Pan-African Parliament is generally voiceless, says Zuma

President Jacob Zuma says the Pan-African Parliament (PAP), the only continental institution that broadly represents the people of Africa, is generally voiceless.

Speaking during the opening session of PAP in Johannesburg, Zuma pointed out that, "It [PAP] is the institution that constitutes a single collective voice of the ordinary people of our continent."

Zuma says the PAP had already played an important role in contributing to free and fair elections in a number of countries but this work need to be broadened, including adopting standards for the holding of elections.
