The National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) has rejected reports of staff accusing their chairperson, Andile Lungisa, of keeping money for himself.
In a press statement, NYDA branch secretary, Goodenough Nethengwe, points out that, “In our view this is nothing more than the creativity of the reporters who wrote the story.”
Meanwhile, the Democratic Alliance youth leader, Makashule Gana, says that when NYDA was formed, the staff from its predecessor organisations were simply incorporated. He argues that, “No thought was given to how the new structure will operate and without new employment contracts being signed.”
